Proven Leadership for Naperville

BIO

Naperville has been my home for over 40 years. I was elected to Indian Prairie School Board in 2017, 2021 and 2025 and have served as Board President over five years. During my time as board president, I've had the privilege of leading major initiatives including redefining school boundaries, developing the district's first strategic plan, passing a $420M referendum and, most recently, selecting a new superintendent. Indian Prairie serves more than 25,000 students making it the fourth largest school district in Illinois. Niche recently ranked the school district 25th out of more than 10,000 districts nationwide. I have a BS in Computer Engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Benedictine University. My background includes leading global business and technical teams at AT&T, Lucent, and Nokia. During my career, I was involved in business development, portfolio management, strategy, quality and a variety of technical leadership roles on large scale projects. As a Senior Director, I led a $1B procurement program and had responsibility for a $250M product investment portfolio. I am also a certified Professional Project Manager (PMP). I bring a proven track record through my school board experience, career accomplishments and extensive volunteer activities of integrity and success working with people to define solutions and achieve results.
I have been married for over 40 years with two adult children, an adorable grandson, two sweet terriers and a "princess" cat.

Key Issues
Drive initiatives that attract and retain businesses while ensuring Naperville remains a community where people want to live and retire. Priorities include affordable housing options, keeping rents manageable, streamlining city processes for residents and businesses, and maintaining a strong focus on public safety. Develop a long-term strategy to address Naperville’s electric needs. Options must be researched on this complex and impactful issue. My goal is to have a cost effective, highly reliable solution that provides a pathway for increased renewable sources and one that strengthens Naperville’s voice in decision making. Manage land responsibly to preserve greenspaces and ensure decisions do not over-burden our schools.
